It’s a family affair
The Hosley family has been a part of the Long Lake history for decades. Matt, Nate, and Trip decided to buy the Long View Lodge with their brother-from-another-mother, and Chef—Ben Paula, in 2017. Always the overachievers, they also opened The Park in Long Lake in 2017 and brought their unique style to a traditional burger & ice cream stand.
Before purchasing the Long View Lodge, the guys owned and operated multiple hospitality businesses in San Francisco:
Sauce, 2004–2018: A full-service restaurant in Hayes Valley, won Best New Restaurant in San Francisco, two years in a row!
Shine, 2005–2011: Dance lounge
Sleep Over Sauce, 2011–2018: A boutique hotel above Sauce
Sauce Belden, 2012–2019: A second full-service restaurant and bar in the financial district of San Francisco
Their roots are strong in Long Lake. Lorrie and John “Hoss” Hosley opened Hoss’s Country Corner in 1972—an Adirondack destination where Martha Stewart once quoted “If you can’t find it at…Hoss’s, you probably don’t need it.”
After relocating to Long Lake, they are combining their California experience and East Coast history to develop a destination that provides a unique, comfortable, and exemplary stay for their guests.
